Meet Our Pack
Get to know the special needs senior dogs who we currently care for in our home.
Ruthie fell on hard times after her owner passed away and no one took care of her and 2 other dogs so they were left to fend for themselves for over a week.
Sadly she ended up at a shelter and put on the euthanasia list.
Fortunately she was picked up by our partners Strong Paws Rescue and was transported to us from Texas.
She need to put on weight and have her arthritis managed with medication.
Kash found himself at the hands of an owner that thought he shouldn’t be on this earth anymore. He was going to take matters into his own hands…Thankfully for Kash, his neighbor was the same gentleman that fostered Bruce…The universe took action and he intervened…Strong Paws Rescue got Kash into a foster and got him much needed dental work. He had a large mass removed that is healing nicely…Kash was then transported to CT. He entered the Special Needs Senior Dog Sanctuary Jan 27th 2025.
We received an email from Father John’s Animal House where we adopted Cash who passed recently.
They had taken in a stray that was severely neglected. They found the owners and they didn’t want him back.
Thank God!…
Because why would this precious life, this sweet old man, not be treated with dignity and respect?
The fact that any human can treat animals this way breaks our hearts, but we are grateful to have the opportunity to open our hearts and home to give these souls what they deserve.
This is Dudley a Shih Tzu mix. He’s 12 years old-ish, and completely blind and assuming almost deaf. We drove out to NJ yesterday and became his Santa Clause!
Christmas came early for Studley, The Dud-meister.
It came early for us too!
Welcome Home Sasha!…
We drove up to meet Suki’s foster momma that Strong Paws Rescue made happen once again.
This sweet old gal was an owner surrender, and we are so excited to welcome 14-year-old Sasha into the Special Needs Senior Dog Sanctuary. Sasha is a shepherd mix with arthritis, and now she gets to spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, care, and love.
Welcome to paradise, Sasha.
Welcome to your dream come true!
This Pug-Chihuahua mix at the time was 3lbs, 3 months old and had 3 legs… So naturally Anna named her Tres. Which has become short for her legal name, Tracy. We got her on Lennon’s birthday on March 16th and she is an absolute joy. Not just for us, but the seniors. She plays with Kissy and Suki and they are like her mommas the way they care for her.
Not many times we get a dog from a puppy all the way through so we’re excited for a long journey with this happy, little gal!
Welcome to paradise.
Welcome to your dream come true.
